Yasminah El Gabbas

Counseling psychologist and Addiction Therapist

Yasmina has dedicated herself to the field of psychology, for the past 23 years, constantly expanding her knowledge and sharpening her skills. Her educational journey began at The American University in Cairo, where she pursued her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Building upon that foundation, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma at Cairo University and a Master of Arts in Psychology at Ain Shams University.

Throughout her career, she has sought both formal and informal training opportunities to enhance her expertise. Notably, she received training from prestigious institutions such as the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Linehan Institute for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. These experiences equipped her with comprehensive knowledge and practical techniques in these therapeutic approaches.

Her professional experience spans various hospitals and clinics, affording her the opportunity to work with diverse age groups and a wide range of diagnoses. She has developed a profound interest in three particular areas: Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders, and Eating Disorders. Through her work, she has witnessed the unique challenges individuals face within these realms and is driven to provide them with tailored support and guidance.

Central to her approach is a belief in the individuality of each person. She recognizes that growth occurs through dynamic and reciprocal relationships with one’s environment. Each individual possesses a distinct sense of self, others, and life. This perspective underscores her commitment to understanding her clients on a deep level and tailoring interventions to their unique needs.

She is a passionate believer in lifelong learning. She values the opportunity to continually expand her knowledge and skills through ongoing education, mentorship, and, most importantly, through the rich experiences shared by her clients. This commitment to growth fuels her ability to provide the best care and support to those she serves.
