Shymaa Mady

Shymaa Mady is a clinical psychologist and psycho therapist with 8 years experience. She was graduated from Helwan university with a Bachelor of arts in psychology. In addition, she accomplished a clinical diploma as well as attended a number of certified workshops; Schema therapy diploma, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and the Group therapy Diploma certified from the Egyptian Association for Group therapy. Currently she is working towards receiving her Masters of Science M.Sc. degree in psychology from El Mansoura University. In 2018 she completed her basic training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) from certified UK trainer (Caroline Van Diest) and she is managing clients with trauma like PTSD. She is working with NGOs offering psychological support to children in street situations suffering from complex trauma. Shymaa had clinical experience in training at several psychiatric hospitals, including Abbaseya and Kasr El Aini psychiatric hospital. Shymaa worked for several years in the old-age psychiatric department at faculty of medicine Cairo university as a clinical psychologist. She has a vast experience in cognitive assessment of elderly with suspected dementia, as well as variety of psychological test for IQ, depression, anxiety and OCD. She is also an experienced therapist in CST (Cognitive Stimulation therapy ). Shymaa received Dr Yehia EL Rakhawy Award for Best Clinical Case, on February 2020.
